Celebrating the Jubilee and Tilma Indulgences
The following sites have been designated by Bishop Dolan as pilgrimage sites to visit during the Jubilee 2025 and receive a plenary indulgence:
- Chapel of the Holy Cross in Sedona
- Sacred Heart in Prescott
- St. Anthony in Sacaton
- St. Mary in Kingman
- St. Mary’s Basilica in Phoenix
- Ss. Simon and Jude Cathedral in Phoenix
A plenary indulgence is the total remission before God of temporal punishment for sins whose guilt is already forgiven, which a properly disposed member of the Christian faithful gains under certain and defined conditions:
- must be baptized, not excommunicated, and in the state of grace at the end of the prescribed works
- must receive sacramental confession several days before or after visiting the Jubilee Site
- should receive Eucharistic Communion on the same day as the visit, however this may be fulfilled several days before or after the visit
- should pray for the intention of the Pope on the same day as the visit, but may be fulfilled several days before or after the visit. This condition is fully satisfied by reciting one Our Father and one Hail Mary for his intentions.
