Christ in the Neighborhood

Christ in Our Neighborhood is a ministry that answers the call to Christ by providing a communal space for monthly fellowship through the breaking of bread, potluck-style, & sharing of testimonies & prayers in parishioner homes. To ensure the success of our ministry (& to meet & greet), we come together twice a year for our Biannual Potluck in St. Joseph’s Hall. For more information, watch for announcements in Our Lady of the Lake Church bulletin.

“The small group setting allows for people to share their life stories...stories which we would never hear just meeting them at the church or at a meeting. We heard an incredible story. We now feel a connection with that fellow parishioner, a bond that wasn’t there before. Our relationship is forever changed.”

“I love going to the homes, getting to know people better, and hearing their stories. This is great! I love it.”
—Fr. Tony Okolo

“I got to meet some friends, and even got to know some people I have seen many times at church but
never spent time with. Good company, good food, good stories–and best of all was sharing stories of faith. We build each other up.”
